What are the Matt Lauer allegations?
Matt Lauer was fired from NBC’s Today Show in 2017 amid sexual misconduct claims from multiple women.
The telly host has vigorously denied the allegations against him.
The former £16 million-a-year anchor has been accused of a litany of sexual misconduct allegations over the years by a string of female employees.
Lauer, who was helicoptered to work in Manhattan from his mansion in The Hamptons at the height of his powers, was one of the most high-profile figures in American television before his fall from grace.
He has also previously been accused of having a secret button installed under his desk, allowing him to lock women in his office, presenting a colleague with a sex toy at her leaving drinks, and flashing a co-worker.
In the latest allegation Ms Lonner told colleagues that at the time, Lauer had asked her to leave a work event, where both had been at NBC headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, to join him in the office, Page Six reports.
The producer believed it would be a professional meeting, but then Lauer shut the door and “unzipped his pants and exposed his erect penis,” the book claims.
The producer, who was then separated from her husband, laughed and tried to get out of his office by joking she didn’t want to be intimate in a place “where everyone else has done it,” but was told that “he knew that she wanted it.”
And acknowledging her joke about his office affairs, Lauer allegedly added that he “figured she liked it dirty” and that the encounter would be “first for you.”
Then, she said, he got angry, telling her, “Melissa, you’re a f***ing tease. This is not good. You led me on,” Farrow claims in the book.
Then in 2013, she was allegedly fired without reason before her contract was up.

What is he doing now?
Since his firing from the Today show in November 2017, Lauer is reportedly spending a lot of time in his Hamptons house, where he’s been staying quiet and “focused on family.”
However he is reportedly selling the £34million home, apparently as part of his divorce settlement.
Lauer and his wife of almost 20 years, Annette Roque, filed for an uncontested divorce in July of 2019, Page Six reported.
Lauer will pay Annette Roque up to £15million in the divorce and she will retain the ownership of a horse farm that they jointly owned in the Hamptons.

What has Pippa Middleton said about him?
Matt Lauer fought to get Pippa Middleton a job at NBC – and even arranged for her to do an “excruciating” test shoot, it was revealed today.
The former Today Show anchor – at the centre of rape allegations by ex producer Brooke Nevils – wanted Pippa to become a regular contributor.
Lauer – who was fired from Today in 2017 amid sexual misconduct claims – even shut down his favourite New York steak restaurant to host a dinner for her.
Pippa was accompanied by her publicist and senior Today staffers for the meal.
Lauer also interviewed Pippa personally on air in 2014 and later and arranged for her to film a test shoot at a ranch in Montana, Page Six reports.
But a source said it turned out to be an “excruciating” experience for Pippa – the sister of future queen Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.
Lauer was later overruled by his then-boss at NBC News Deborah Turness – who said “no” to hiring Pippa, now a happily married mum.
In their 2014 interview, Lauer recalled the attention Pippa received at the royal wedding of sister Kate to Prince William in 2011.
He referred to her as a “beautiful woman” in a “very flattering dress” – a nod to how her bum stole the limelight on the big day.
Pippa sat awkwardly as she answered questions about the dress – and told how she was stunned by the attention she received.
